[英國] 英國 Up At The O2,倫敦。

I lived in London for 14 months.
I can't seem to get rid of that fake Londoner identity inside of me.
I still got a 2012 version tube map in my purse.
That amazing city is always so busy and so loved.
I was just a person that happened to be there for a few months.
However, my time in London was, undeniable, quite a huge part of my life.

As I said, I stayed there for over one year,
but I haven't even written any articles about London.
Every time I tried to remember what I did over there,
but I couldn't really think of anything interesting.

In the last two months of London,
I finally got the chance to do something special,
Climbing the O2 arena.

It was just before the London 2012,
so the arena was quite busy.
Visitors needed to go through security check before entering arena.
Bottles like perfumes were not allowed in the place.

I often saw the ad somewhere in the tube station.
My friend once mentioned this with a big exciting smile on her face.
So, we booked the ticket online, £40, and we climbed the damn O2.

The whole thing took about 90 mins, for this side to another side of the arena.
And the pic below is the way we came.

In the middle of the journey, there is a platfom where you can walk around, naked.
Here, you can enjoy 360 degree views of London.

Also, all participants need to wear this ugly uniform, and girls need to tie up their hair.

Except the time on the platform, people are not allowed to unattached from the metal fence.
Some part of the journey is a bit steep.
Also, cameras are only allowed on the platform.
In case of danger, you can't not use phones and cameras for the whole time expect on the platform.

This is a photo of other people climbing up.

I reckon the best time for climbing is near sunset.
You can watch sun light spraying on the surface of Thames and shining like pure gold.

I asked my friend to come with me.
He was in doubt in the first place.
He told me that he would kill me if the money was not worth spending.
However, he enjoyed it very much as I expected.

After the climbing, we wandered in O2 and accidentally got lost.
The sign says' there is nothing to see behind here, we promise'. Lol

The Emirates Air Line

We left O2 and decided to take a ride on the new air line.
The Emirates Air Line is a part of London public transport.
You can simply scan your oyster card and then jump on the air line.

The air line was new when we were there.
It was very lucky that we had chance to do this before leaving London.

It was the perfect time.
The sun was just about to disappear.
I looked around and stared at the O2.
It leaned lightly upon River Thames under the gorgeous orange sky.
That was a view you would remember for the rest of your life.

The view from the other side of the river.

The new station is very beautiful and modern.

In the end, we didn't know what to do, so we decided to take another ride.
My friend was about to leave London for France, and I was leaving shortly after him.
We thought we might never have chance to come back here,
so we had our second experience of playing across London.

This time, the sky was dark.
However, we had the perfect view on our first trial.
We were very lucky.

It is hard to tell how much I miss London.
I miss my student life, my friends from other countries and flat 112 room 2.

And I miss room 5.

I Love London
